A guardian home is a carefully selected family who provides a permanent, loving home for one of our breeding dogs while partnering with us as part of our long-term program. Guardian dogs live as full members of their families, not in kennels, and enjoy everyday life just like any other companion dog.
While we are not currently offering a guardian program, this model allows responsible breeders to thoughtfully expand while ensuring every dog receives individualized care, stability, and attention. As Bridger Creek continues to grow, we plan to explore a small, well-managed guardian program in the coming years, always placing the dog’s quality of life first.

what is a guardian home?
Guardian dogs live as family pets from day one. After their breeding career is complete, the dog is spayed or neutered and remains with the guardian family permanently. Our priority is always the dog’s long-term wellbeing and a smooth transition to full ownership.

We remain actively involved throughout the guardian partnership. Breeding-related responsibilities and associated veterinary care are handled by us, while guardians focus on daily care, routine veterinary needs, training, and companionship. Clear communication and ongoing support are central to this relationship.

Guardian families are considered part owners during the dog’s breeding career. The dog is placed with the guardian at a reduced cost and lives full-time as a family companion. Once all breeding obligations are fulfilled, full ownership is formally signed over to the guardian family.
